4. Health: “The program promotes the nutrition and health of children and protects children and staff from illness and injury.”
This is a cleaning list I created for my toddler classroom. This cleaning list was created to help make sure we are maintaining a healthy environment that maintains proper cleaning and sanitizing habits to ensure children and staff are protected from illness. This artifact has helped me to further grow my organization skills and expand my knowledge on creating a healthy environment that protects myself and my students from illness. In the future I can make another one or keep this list in mind to ensure the upkeep of my classroom. |

5. Teachers: “The program employs and supports a teaching staff that has the educational qualifications, knowledge, and professional commitment necessary to promote children’s learning and development and to support families’ diverse needs and interests.”
I began my professional development resume regarding working with children in the year 2019 where I got a certificate for blank contact hours in the Troy Athens Preschool. Taking that class has provided me with information and knowledge I still use today and helped me get many jobs in the Early childhood education field. I can use all the knowledge I retained in order to get this certificate in my future classrooms. This artifact also shows how far I have come in my career in working with children.

6. Assessment of child progress: “The program is informed by ongoing systematic, formal, and informal assessment approaches to provide information on children’s learning and development. These assessments occur within the context of reciprocal communications with families and with sensitivity to the cultural contexts in which children develop. Assessment results are used to benefit children by informing sound decisions about children, teaching, and program improvement.”
I take daily anecdotal notes to keep track of observations of the children's development. I then use these to make lesson plans, formulate any concerns if there are any, and keep an overall tracking of where the children are at. By taking these notes from the dates of blank- current that I have improved in my anecdotal note taking and ability to make objective notes on children's abilities and milestones. |
